Canton of Ticino is a well-established summer destination. There are countless events and programs that take place during the summer months. Tourism is also experiencing a steady growth over short holidays, which take place throughout the year. Canton Ticino can boast a very varied tourist offer, which lends itself to satisfying the needs of all tourists, regardless of the season in which they visit.

Bikers are increasingly numerous and are looking for new, exciting offers that can meet their needs all year round. Particularly in regions like that of Mendrisiotto, where winters are particularly mild, there could be a product 365 days / year. The Bike Park that the OTR intends to create in the Mendrisiotto region may be an opportunity if the partners involved take up the challenge of proposing their offers also in the autumn and winter months, effectively allowing an extension of the season in favor of bikers. The involvement and positioning of all partners who are potentially involved and the choice to keep their facilities open all year would be desirable.
Propose solutions to attract cyclists to the Bike Park also during autumn-winter in order to stimulate the accommodation facilities to extend the opening period and contribute to the development of the reputation of the destination.

The month of November is usually a closed period after the summer season. Many hotels and tourist destinations close their facilities. This situation is partly dictated by the decrease in the number of tourists, but at the same time it is also the cause of the lack of proposals. In Ticino, however, the month of November and the beginning of December are usually characterised by a pleasant climate that allows for outdoor sports (hike and biking). The days are shorter, but it is still possible to go hiking during sunny days. However, there can be very rainy days. Snow usually only arrives at the end of November in the highest mountains or in shady areas.
Generate ideas to increase the rate of opening of facilities in November and stimulate the tourism sector. Ideas that could range from a specific marketing campaign to the creation of ad hoc products. How can partners be effectively involved and persuaded to stay open? What minimum offer is needed to promote tourism in November?
